Environment

Our physical environment is a gift from God, and we honor that gift by taking good care of our church building and grounds. Thanks to many volunteers, Northlawn UM Church is well kept in all seasons. These caring people help plan and maintain the lovely plantings around the church, assist with seasonal "spruce-up" tasks, lend a hand with selected improvement projects, and help with seasonal decorations such as "Hanging of the Greens" for the Advent and Christmas season. Working together indoors and outdoors is a great way to have a good time while doing good things for our church home.

The ichthus garden on the east side of the church adds a burst of brilliant colors to our grounds. The natural rock border outlines the shape of a fish - "ichthus" in Greek - which was one of the very earliest Christian symbols.
